The Witcher 3 Devs Stand By the Decision of Game’s Delay

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt has been delayed more than once, with the latest delay coming in right before the turn of the year. Naturally, many of the fans are pissed about it.

However, don’t you think it is wise to be able to play a game worthy of our money instead of getting a half-assed release? That is exactly what CD Projekt Red believed when they took the decision to make us wait even more.

It’s very simple: it wasn’t ready yet. If you look around recently, there are bad responses if you release a game that isn’t ready yet.

While talking about making the game worthy of the community they said that it often takes more time which many other developers would not have given in their circumstances.

They did not say which development studios they were referring to, but people who have been in the market would know a couple of them:

In some cases more time is needed for that, and even if that fiasco wouldn’t have happened with other publishers – we don’t want to tell names – but we went ahead and did it anyway. Yes we took on a date. No we couldn’t meet it. We have to bear the consequences and make further development, so you should wait a little longer, be patient and it will be very cool.

That is the best part of CD Projekt Red, with a game like The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, they stood to take the criticisms for not meeting the dates just because they think that “we shouldn’t put out shit, and we don’t want to put out shit.”

Are you okay with having to wait for so long before the game officially releases?
