Pokken Tournament is Given a Summer 2015 Release Window
Pokken Tournament is heading to Japanese Arcades in Summer 2015. Bandai Namco shared the news during Japan Amusement Expo 2015, as reported by 4Gamer. That means fans won’t have to wait that long before getting their hands on Pokken Tournament.
Pekken is being directed by none-other than Katsuhiro Harada, famous for his work on Tekken games.
Looking at Pokken, you can clearly see the resemblance it has with Tekken. Hopefully, this won’t take Harada’s attention off the awaited Tekken 7 and Tekken X Street Fighter, a title which has been in development for years.
Pokken Tournament is a fighting game in which you’ll see a range of popular Pokemon battle for supremacy. Similar to Tekken 7, developers are only sharing news about the arcade version of Pokken Tournament.
However, it’s only a matter of time before we hear some more news about a console or handheld version of this title. The Arcade version of the game will be played using console like controllers.
The decision to go with such controls is surprising as arcade games are traditionally played with Joystick and Buttons.
Currently, Pokken Tournament features Gardevoir, Suicune, Lucario, Machamp, Blaziken and Pikachu as playable characters. More are expected to announced soon.
