Mortal Kombat X Won’t Have Jade, NetherRealm Has Confirmed
Looks it is NetherRealm Studios’ day today, there is a lot of new information to share with regards to Mortal Kombat X partially thanks to the Twitch livestream that showed off Kitana and Reptile’s variations.
While that was the focus of the livestream, it was confined to the two characters only. New tidbits about the game, as well as other characters were also shared.
In that area, the biggest news that the developers revealed was that one of the known character’s of the game, Jade was not going to be a part of Mortal Kombat X.
For those who do not know, Jade is actually a childhood friend of Kitana. This is what the developers are going to bring to use; they have said that the “spirit” of Jade will continue to be among us through her.
Gameplay-wise, this means that Kitana is going to borrow some abilities and moves from her friend when she steps forward to fight in the game.
All the news related to the game is not bad though; another tease that came to our notice was a small part of a video made in Portuguese language where Jax and Sonya Blade were hinted at. There is a dialogue in the said video where Cassie Cage is seen mentioning the two characters.
“Stay away from my mother,” she is heard saying, and “are you ok, Uncle Jax? Your joints are cracking.”
Mortal Kombat X is being developed for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The game unleashes on all the platforms together on April 14, 2015.
