Toukiden: Kiwami’s New Trailer Introduces New Characters, Weapons and Armor Sets

By   /   Feb 12, 2015

A new video has been released for Toukiden: Kiwami that introduces the game’s new characters, weapons, and more.

The ‘new’ story begins three months after the events of the original Toukiden. Tecmo Koei is placing a large focus on the game’s storytelling, which will give players a deeper introduction to its many characters.

On that note, Toukiden: Kiwami adds new missions and story scenarios that will have players immerse themselves in the game’s setting. The video also gives us a look at the new weapon and armor sets players will be able to collect.

The number of Mitama has been increased to 300 from 200 in the previous title. These are the freed souls of fallen heroes who remain to assist the slayers in their fight. Players can equip them to upgrade their powers up to 12 levels.

Reaching max levels will give access to extra boosts and powers “that will help the player survive through the challenges of the treacherous hunts.”

Toukiden: Kiwami is due for release on the PlayStation 4 and Vita on March 31 in North America and March 27 in Europe.
