Dragon Age: Inquisition Named Game of the Year at DICE Awards
This past year, not many games were able to impress us mainly due to their game breaking bugs. We saw a horrible release of Driveclub, Assassin’s Creed Unity, Halo: The Master Cheif Collection and more. Games that were expected to make our jaws drop failed to live-up to expectations.
However, there were some amazing titles like Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Far Cr 4 and most of all Dragon Age: Inquisition. These games were not just received well by fans, but critics also gave them their blessings.
Just hours ago, Dice Awards were held in Las Vegas during which many games were awarded in different categories. Among all categories, Game of the Year matters the most and this year all eyes were on results of it.
Among the Nominees there were Far Cry 4, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Destiny, Hearthstone and Dragon Age: Inquisition. As expected, the Game of the Year award was handed out to Dragon Age: Inquisition.
No one can argue that this game doesn’t deserve this award. Dragon Age was memorable experience and is one of the best RPG’s out there.
That’s why, along with Game of the Year, Dragon Age: Inquisition was also awarded the best role playing game of year.
On the other hand, Shadow of Mordor did well too and ended the event with 8 awards including Outstanding Achievement in Animation, Outstanding Achievement in Story and more.
Bungie’s Destiny managed four awards while surprisingly, Far Cry 4 couldn’t take a single trophy home. Even the best character award went to Talion from Shadow of Mordor, which in my personal opinion, should have gone to Pagan Min.
