StarCraft II PTR Gets Warcraft III Assets, Blizzard Wants to See Your Creations!
Have you been trying out your skills at the StarCraft II Public Testing Realm? If you have, you will be glad to know that Blizzard Entertainment are now going to let you recreate your favorites from Warcraft III into the game!
The official Battle.net website announced that they have now released thousands of items from massive universe of Warcraft III so that the public testing realm of StarCraft II can get a bit more fun:
We’re excited to announce the models and assets that made Warcraft III an amazing universe to explore are now available in the StarCraft II PTR.
This brings over three thousand new materials for the amazing Arcade development community to work with, including new hero models for the 4 primary races, all of the original Warcraft III models including neutral creatures and their sounds as well as doodads, structures, spell effects, ambient sounds, music and custom user interfaces for each race.
They have also announced that the best content will be brought to the limelight under “Memories of War” so you should start building any and everything that you believe is going to look great.
What you can create depends solely on your skills; you can make anything ranging from a couple of screenshots to a minigame.
In order to bring everything you create in StarCraft II to the attention of the developers, you will either have to email it to them on firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet it to them on @BlizzardArcade.
