Bloodborne Explains Chalice Dungeons in New Video, PS4 Bundle Confirmed for Europe

Sony has confirmed a Bloodborne PlayStation 4 bundle for Europe, which will be available for purchase on the day of the game’s launch.

The bundle will feature a 500GB console, DualShock 4 Controller, and a copy of Bloodborne itself. No price was mentioned by Sony for the bundle, but the company did say that interested parties can pre-order it right now at major retailers.

Alongside the announcement for the bundle, Sony also released a new video that takes a closer look into the game’s Chalice Dungeons. These areas are underneath the town of Yharnham and change their layout “depending on the combination of items used in your ritual.” These items are found as you play the game.

Once you have the right ingredients, a ritual can be performed to open a way through to a Chalice Dungeon. These are going to be random for everyone and no two players will ‘spawn’ identical dungeons.

However, you can invite players in a group to take on a single created instance. Depending on the group size, the difficulty of the dungeon will also scale up, as well as the boss fights. Each dungeon is repeatable upon completion.

Bloodborne is due for release in Europe on March 25 exclusively for the PlayStation 4. As always, North America is going to receive the game a day earlier.

According to the publisher, Blooborne will “offer just as much value [as the Souls games], with the main adventure comparable in scope to any of the Souls games.”
