Alone in the Dark: Illumination Enters Closed Beta Tomorrow

By   /   Jan 28, 2015

Alone in the Dark: Illumination will enter a closed beta on January 29, Pure FPS has revealed.

Those who pre-order the game through Steam will automatically be included in the beta and given access to try out the first campaign in single-player mode. The developer is expecting strong feedback from all testers in order to improve any aspects that are deemed as such. Another beta event has been promised in the future but will be announced in the weeks leading up to launch.

Players can hook up with up to four players for a cooperative experience and choose between different classes: the Hunter, the Witch, the Priest and the Engineer. Together they must work to solve a mystery in the abandoned town of Lorwich, Virginia.

The once flourishing industrial town is now a ghost town in the wake of a flood that brought down its mining facilities.

The destruction caused an immediate evacuation of all citizens and to date the cause of the flood is still a mystery. Now, the town is said to be overflowing with strange creatures and a vicious fog.

Alone in the Dark: Illumination will release this spring for the PC.
