Reptile Confirmed for Mortal Kombat X

By   /   Jan 27, 2015

Two new characters are to be announced this week for Mortal Kombat X, the first of which has been revealed to be Reptile.

In a new video posted by IGN, you can see just how Reptile will be bringing back some of his prominent moves to the latest installment in the fighting franchise. As with previous reveals, the trailer ends by teasing one of his fatalities.

Expect NetherRealm Studios to start revealing its roster for the game more quickly as we approach closer to launch. In related news, the latest fourth installment of DC Comics’ Mortal Komat X series has featured new characters that we could see the developer announce soon.

The comic makes mention of Jax and his daughter Jacqui, along with Mileena, Reiko and Frost. Having played Mortal Kombat 4, I’m personally very interested with the addition of Reiko, who then was a general in Shao Kahn’s army and winning the game meant taking on Kahn’s mantle himself.

While this doesn’t confirm their addition in the game, it’s still something to look forward to. Mortal Kombat X has already locked in Subzero. With Frost on the horizon, could we be seeing two characters drawing their powers from the same source?

Mortal Kombat X is due for release on April 14 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
