Dead Or Alive Creator Lashes Out at Team Ninja for Making it “More Erotic”
The creator of Dead or Alive series Tomonobu Itagaki, who left Team Ninja Studios back in 2008 , has lashed out at the company because of the erotic DLCs that are constantly being released for Dead or Alive 5.
He said that by creating and releasing “more erotic” DLCs for DOA 5, developers are just trying to “milk loyal players out of [their] money” and it is “disgusting.”
He continued on to talk about Dead or Alive Extreme, which was way more erotic than any other games in the series, but he emphasizes that Extreme was developed for a separate audience.
Everybody is a little perverted; even I’m a little perverted. But, it was for that very reason I created DOAX [Dead or Alive Xtreme]; in order to target the people who wanted something a little bit more casual and sexy but at the same time keeping that tone separate from the ‘fighting game’ that is DOA.
In the same interview, Itagaki shed some light on his upcoming Wii U exclusive, Devil’s Third saying that it is “shaping up to be a fun game.”
Meanwhile, those players who are interested in DOA series, will be able to get their hands on Dead or Alive 5: Last Round on February 17 when it releases for PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PC.
