State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition will officially release on April 28 for the Xbox One, Undead Labs has announced.

The new Xbox One version includes the Breakdown and Lifeline expansion packs, as well as all balances and tweaks brought in through previous patches. The game will run in 1080p native and boast new textures and improved lighting that add an increased level of detail to the world.

Undead Labs is also including new animations for both humans and zombies, an increased draw distance, and an improved interface for players to manage their items and weapons better. Finally, players will also get access to a handful of new vehicles, weapons, gadgets, and mission types.

State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition will be available both in digital and retail for $29.99. Those owning an Xbox 360 copy of State of Decay will be eligible for a 33 percent discount, making the price of the Survival Edition just $19.99. Additionally existing State of Decay owners will also get an exclusive playable character.

State of Decay was launched on PC in September 2013 and by December managed to cross one million units sold in total across all platforms. That success led the studio to sign a multi-year extension deal with Microsoft in early 2014. Players can expect more content to pile up for State of Decay as the months go on.

State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition was announced by Microsoft in August last year.
