GTA V Online Join and Invite Tutorial Error Gets a Workaround

By   /   Jan 21, 2015

Some of the GTA V Online players reported an error where they were unable to join or invite any of their friends due to a tutorial issue. This issue gives notification to the players saying that they need to complete the tutorial first in order to use the joining and inviting features, even when the players have already done it.

The issue was brought to Rockstar Games and its support has stated that this matter is currently in investigation, and a fix for the issue will be out as soon as possible. In the meantime, the developers have provided a workaround, which might do the trick for some of the players.

Try getting in a Crew with your friends and getting together through the Crews->My Crews->Members option of the Online tab in the GTA Online Pause Menu. Alternatively, if you don’t want to make any changes to your Crews, you can join your friends via the Crews->Friends’ Crews option. Select your friend’s Crew and choose “View Members”. From there, choose your friend’s Gamertag or PSN ID and select “Join Game.”

The issue is obviously annoying for the players who plan to play with their friends on daily basis; hopefully, we will get a fix for the problem sooner rather than later.

Are you facing this issue when playing GTA V Online? Do try out the workaround and let us know if it works or not in the comments section below!
