Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Bundles Two Games in HD
A Borderlands: The Handsome Collection has been announced for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The bundle will feature Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, as well as all downloadable content released for both titles. Additionally, the entire bundle will be remastered into high-definition glory.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will also boast an enhanced multiplayer split-screen option, allowing up to four players to play the game on a single screen.
In its announcement, 2K Games and Gearbox Software also revealed a Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition that is available for pre-order right now. The limited edition will only be available worldwide in 5,000 units and feature a copy of the game, a remote controlled Claptrap steward, steel case and 12 lithographs.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will support cross-saving. Players can transfer their save files from the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel over to the new bundle. Note though that the cross-save functionality will only work for consoles within the same platform, with the PS3 working for PS4 and the Xbox 360 for Xbox One.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will launch in North America on March 24 and will then follow an international release on March 27.
I personally found Borderlands 2 unmatched in its series. The amount of content and entertainment value to be had through the game and its DLC packs is just amazing. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was a good game as well, but compared to the second installment it felt more like I was running around all the time and shooting less than half of it.
