Xbox Live is Having Issues With Friends List and Some Apps Again
Not too long ago, we reported that some users are having issues with some features on Xbox Live, which was later sorted out by Microsoft. However, same issues have started to affect users again.
Fans have been reporting issues on reddit, claiming they aren’t able to access their friends list, or know what their friends are up to.
One quick look at the Xbox Status page, confirms that story as Social and Gaming aspects are currently “Limited.” While affected services include:
- Accessing or retrieving data stored using cloud storage
- Managing friends lists and tracking what friends are doing
If you think that issues end here, you’re wrong. According to the status page, players are also unable to access popular apps such as IGN and Maxim. The problem isn’t limited to Xbox 360 only, as Xbox One is also affected by this.
Engineers at Microsoft will surely be looking into this but once again the same question arise, why is Microsoft suddenly having regular problems with Xbox Live? Is it due to the recent DDoS attack? We can’t say for sure but all of this is quite surprising.
Microsoft has been known for its network stability during the 360 era, but with the Xbox One, they are struggling. The reason behind this is anybody’s guess but hopefully, things will go back to normal soon enough.
