Saints Row Gat Out of Hell $5 Listing is Not Real, Says Deep Silver

If you are a fan of the insanely popular, and insane, open world action adventure series Saints Row; you will also be looking forward to the latest installment in the series i.e. Saints Row Gat Out of Hell.

Recently, we had picked up reports that GameStop is selling the game for a too good to be true price. We checked on it and indeed they are selling the game for a price tag of $5 as compared to the original price tag of $20. This means a 75 percent discount.

For something that has not even released in the markets, this is indeed unbelievable. Of course Deep Silver is in no need of such discounts in order to sell the game, Saints Row IV has made enough goodwill to take care of that.

So it aroused suspicion.

Now, it looks like the suspicion was correct. Will Djanger Powers of PR and marketing at Deep Silver was inquired about the offer and he responded to confirm that the listing had been made mistakenly by the retailer. To be exact, he said that “this is not real” and that “orders won’t be honored, sorry.”

What’s interesting about all this is that GameStop is still listing the game for the same $5 – I’m wondering what kind of a mistake this was that it still has not been rectified.

Anyhow, Saints Row Gat Out of Hell is being developed by Volition and High Voltage Software. It will be released to Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Expect the game to hit the racks in North American territories on January 20, 2015 i.e. tomorrow and in the European Union on January 23, 2015.
