PlayStation Now Gets A 7-Day Trial Period, Verified Payment Method Required

Anyone who has been looking for an excuse to try out Sony’s PlayStation Now service won’t find a better one than this. If you own a PlayStation 4, Sony is offering 7-day trial free of cost.

Sony’s PlayStation Now is a streaming service that lets you play a number of PS3 games on PS4, without owning Sony’s third generation console. All you need is a reliable internet connection and you’re good to go!

With this free trial, players will be able to stream PS3 content on PS4 for 7 days and can choose from a catalog of 100+ games. However, there is a catch!

Although this trial is free, but if you wish to benefit from this offer, you’ll need a credit card. I don’t understand the point behind this, but according to Sony:

A credit card is required to redeem your PlayStation Now Subscription 7-day trial, but you will receive this trial without charge. If you choose to purchase without a trial, a credit card is not required.

PS Now Subscription trial offers are valid for new subscribers only and may be redeemed only once per user and per account; additional redemptions and extensions are void.

One other thing to note here is that for now, PlayStation Now is only available to players in the United States and Canada. So that means the free trial is also only accessible in these two territories.

Sony is planning to expand the service later on, so fans it other regions will have to wait and be patient.
