PlayBox Laptop Brings a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Combo
Ah finally, those among you who don’t wish to choose between the two archrivals can take a break from the console wars; the PlayBox is here!
It is a combo laptop that brings you both the PS4 and the Xbox One – together in one machine!
So how does it work, you might ask. Well, it has both the console packed together. With the Xbox One on the right side and the PlayStation 4 on the left side. When booted up it shows half of both the homescreens on the 22 inch display.
You will need to plug in a power cord and simply choose which one of the two consoles you want to choose. As you can see in the image above, both the controllers work separately too. Oh and of course, you can only boot up one console at a time.
This system took a lot of attempts and reconfiguring to make everything fit and still some things had to be compromised to make the system work, for example it was impossible to get the USB ports on the Xbox to be extended to the outside of the case. But the unit does offer Ethernet ports for both units (WiFi for both units also works), along with HDMI Out.
The PlayBox has been made by Ed Zarick, who previously combined together Xbox 360 and Xbox One. So yeah, he know what he is doing.
You might want to check out the official post where Zarick has detailed the thing as well as provided us with a video showing off the device at work.
Check it out and tell us if PlayBox is the kind of a device that you might want to buy in order to avoid choosing between the two consoles.
