Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta Gets A Second Forge Map, Orion
Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta is currently in its final week and players are being treated with another Forge Map. The map is being added to the Slayer Playlist and is known as Orion.
Recently 343 held a poll and asked fans to choose between two Forge maps: Orion and Pegasus. At that time Orion wasn’t the popular choice and didn’t make it to the multiplayer beta. However, Orion has now joined Pegasus and Truth in the Slayer Playlist.
The news was announced by multiplayer designer Quinn DelHoyo on Twitter:
Halo 5: Guardians Beta update. New map added to the Slayer playlist: Orion – asymmetrical with three different power weapons.
As mentioned in the tweet, the map will come with three power weapons. Also, all of them will have different spawn times:
- Hydra (2 minutes)
- Sniper (3 minutes)
- Sword (4 minutes)
Just days ago, 343 Industries also added a new game type known as Stronghold. Stronghold is played on Regret and Empire and players are asked to control as many bases as possible. You can read more about that here.
Halo 5 Multiplayer Beta will come to end on Jan. 18, 2015. Players who haven’t yet participated only have a few days left to do so. To access the beta, you’ll need to purchase a copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection which is available on Amazon for $46.99.
As for Halo 5, the game will come out exclusively for Xbox One in holidays 2015.
