Blizzard’s popular free-to-play MOBA title, Heroes of the Storm is going to enter a closed beta today, and as you would expect, it will bring a ton of improvements and changes to the game.

The technical alpha of the game went offline early this morning, and the beta will get underway in just a few hours.

To let players know what this beta has in store for them, Blizzard’s Kevin “Cloaken” Johnson has made a video, which you can check out above. If you are a new comer to the game, then the video is a must watch as it will guide you through the basics.

The beta of Heroes of the Storm will enable ranked play, which will arrive as a part of the hero league. However, only the players with level 30 be allowed to participate.

Furthermore, Blizzard has added a new hero to the game named as “Thrall, the Warchief of the Horde” along with a new Sky Temple Map. Some of the previously available heroes including Li Li, Abathur, and Falstad have received some improvements as well.

Finally, the shop has been updated; it will now sell stimpacks which you will be able to use to boost the experience points and for gold gains.
