Shovel Knight: Plague Knight is Your Next Playable Character
Developer Yacht Club Games is currently working on some additional content for Shoval Knight that will allow players to take control of Plague Knight.
The new playable character will have its own unique abilities and skills, which he will utilize in his own campaign. The news was revealed in a post on Miiverse:
Leading the charge is Plague Knight’s Campaign! In this mode, Plague Knight will become a new playable character complete with his own tricks, abilities, and story to explore! Mona, who runs the potion mini-game in the village, will have a vastly expanded role too.
The post failed to mention when we’ll be able to play as Plague Knight but according to previous reports, there is more content planned for Shoval Knight in addition to this.
This includes new campaigns for both King Knight and Spectre Knight, an option to switch gender, and 4 player local co-op mode exclusive to Nintendo’s Wii U among other things.
That’s not all, Shovel Knight is going to be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in 2015. PlayStation platforms will get an exclusive character as well. Any guess on who he is? He is none-other than the God of War, Kratos.
For the time being, it is unclear if Kratos will be a playable character or he will go up against Shoval Knight. More information on his involvement is expected soon.
Lastly, it was announced that Shovel Knight is on sale and is available for %33 off on both Wii U and 3DS. So, if you haven’t played the game, this is a perfect excuse to do so.
