Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta Gets New Content In The Final Week
Halo 5: Guardians Beta is heading into its final week and players are getting some new and exciting content to experience, during their time with the beta.
Developer 343 Industries has added a new game type called Strongholds. In this new game type, teams must take control of as many bases as they can to win. Teams will get one point extra compared to the opposing team for every base they control.
Strongholds will be played on Empire and Regret.
Moreover, 343 held a poll, asking fans to vote for a new map to be added to Halo 5: Guardians beta. The choice was between two Forge maps, Orion and Pegasus. Based on your votes, week three of Halo 5 beta will feature Pegasus.
The news was announced in post on HaloWaypoint, which stated:
There will also be two maps swapped into the Slayer playlist. You’ll once again be able to wield the Prophet’s Bane, and cut through your opponent’s on Truth. Additionally, based on your votes, you’ll now be able to play on a new Forge map, Pegasus.
Halo 5 beta is currently underway and players who owned a copy of Halo: Master Cheif Collection had guaranteed access to it. Multiplayer access was given to players late last month and the action will end on January 18.
It is unclear if we’ll get more betas, but we know for sure that Halo 5: Guardians is heading to Xbox One in holiday 2015.
If you have access to the beta, you can give your feedback and report issues to 343 on their support page.
