Evolve has Gone Gold, Intro Cinematic Trailer Released

By   /   Jan 8, 2015

Turtle Rock Studios is celebrating Evolve going gold by releasing the game’s intro cinematic trailer.

The cooperative shooter from the makers of Left 4 Dead will be launching its next open beta on the Xbox One on January 15. A day following that will be a ‘limited’ technical test on the PC and PlayStation 4 platforms.

All those who participated in last year’s Alpha event will be able to join in for one last time before the game’s official release next month.

Speaking of which, I can personally attest to how good Evolve is shaping up to be. I played the game last year and it was one of the most smooth alpha events in recent years. It would even have been believable had 2K Games announced the game for release last year.

I faced no bugs or glitches, there were no optimization issues, and the game ran with perfection. The environments were incredibly well done and the gameplay was enticing.

The story is pretty simple. A group of hunters is dropped down into hostile territory where they must work together to bring down an alien monster – controlled by a player – before it gains power and tramples everyone else on the field.

Evolve is scheduled for release in early February for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
