Mafia III Announcement Coming Soon, Says Voice Actor

By   /   Jan 7, 2015

Rick Pasqualone, the voice actor of protagonist Vito from Mafia II, has recently teased that there will soon be some news relating to a new Mafia game.

While responding to a fan on Twitter who asked about a third installment, the voice actor said: “Might have some exciting news very soon.” In another instance he tweeted: “Might have some Mafia news very soon.”

This of course doesn’t confirm the existence of the game and nor its announcement. It does however, throw another spice into the rumor-batch that’s been brewing for some while now.

A few weeks ago, 2K Games announced their new Hangar 13 studio that is based in California. This new setup was rumored to be working on the third installment in the Mafia series. Today, Pasqualone’s mention of the game can be purely coincidental or something more.

Mafia III is said to be set in Louisiana and in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. PAX South is going to take place from January 23 to 25 in San Antonia, Texas. Could we be that lucky that we get to see Mafia III being announced there?
