Big Bad Wolf Studio Teases A Mature, Narrative-Driven RPG For Consoles & PC

We often see developers part ways with their respective studio and start something new on their own. Some industry veterans who have worked with Ubisoft, Blizzard, and Cyanide Studios on titles such as World of Warcraft, Game of Thrones, and Styx: Master of Shadows among others have collaborated to form a new studio called Big Bad Wolf.

The studio is based in Bordeaux, France and will focus on the development of role-playing games. They are already working on a title which is still in its pre-production phase. However, a couple of blurry teaser screenshots have been shared by the developers.

The new title they are working on is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The studio aims to develop a title which is mature, ‘inward-looking’, and narrative-driven RPG.

For us, the story is a key pillar that cannot be isolated from the way that it is told. Inward-looking, disturbing, dark, we are working on an intricate storyline whose aim is to unsettle the player by offering choices to which it will be difficult to find an answer and hopefully ones that will be hard to forget.

Big Bad Wolf has two key points they wish to focus on during the development of their title: emotion and choice which is understandable as both of these points are integral to an RPG experience.

As the title is still in pre-production, I don’t think we will be given proper look any time soon, but considering that these guys have worked on some amazing titles in the past, expectations are pretty high.
