Far Cry 4’s Removal from Xbox Store Renders Game Unplayable for Digital Owners

Xbox One users are reporting that they are unable to access their digital copies of Far Cry 4, following a mysterious delisting of the game from the Xbox Store.

The issue has been confirmed to not be related to only a few individuals but at the same time it’s also not that widespread. Ubisoft acknowledged the problem earlier today by posting the following on its official forum:

“The team are actively investigating the issue this side,” wrote Ubisoft community manager Mr_Shade, “however it’s also worth contacting Xbox support – since it appears that the game has been removed from the Store – this has happened for some – please check if it’s still available to you – if not, it ‘could’ be related to that, which MS are investigating too – however as I say, Ubisoft are looking into the issue as a matter of urgency.”

There’s still no word on why the game was removed from the Xbox Store and why only some users are effected by it. If you purchased a digital copy of Far Cry 4 on your Xbox One, see if you can still access it in your library.

At the end of the day it’s kind of scary to know that your purchases from the Xbox Store are always on the edge of being inaccessible in case of the game’s removal from the Store.
