Battle.net Servers Are Troubling Hearthstone, World of Warcraft
Alright so this is the second time that we have heard of servers causing issues for a game today. The first was relating to Elite Dangerous where a transaction server failure resulted in some horrendous bugs.
This time around, it is the Battle.net servers that are down. This has resulted in tons of troubled fans of Hearthstone as well as World of Warcraft.
To be exact we are talking about the authentication servers here that aren’t letting letting people use their accounts.
One statement that appeared on behalf of the developers at the Battle.net website agrees that there are issues resulting in failed or slow logins. Apparently, they are working on the problems but it will take some time before things get back to normal:
To help everyone loginnyouve been placed in a queue please leave this window open and we’ll get you in as quickly as possible. We’re aware of an issue that is affecting our authentication servers, which may result in failed or slow login attempts. We’re currently investigating the cause and will provide updates as they’re available.
However, the troubles are not just confined to the two games in question. Other Blizzard games have also been affected although Hearthstone and World of Warcraft got the worst of it.
It is also interesting that Blizzard is not as quick as expected in attending to the queries of fans. As you can see in the statement above, people are being made to wait in queues.
Could this be because of the same reason why Elite Dangerous developers are asking for some time i.e. new year holidays?
Any how, we hope that the issues are fixed as soon as possible. I wouldn’t want Hearthstone to be out of reach for so long.
