Halo 5: Guardians Beta Not Working? Try Reinstalling the Game

By   /   Dec 30, 2014

Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta went live yesterday coupled with some launch issues which aren’t letting players run the beta.

Some of the most-commonly reported issues include a small red triangle right next to the ‘Slayer’ playlist and inability to connect to the game’s servers. While such issues are expected to occur during a beta, some people are reporting that a fresh install of the beta fixes some of the problems.

The fix below is provided by VentureBeat and is reported to fix red triangle issue:

Step #1
Hit ‘Home’ button on Xbox One controller to go to your Home Screen

Step #2
Select ‘My Games and Apps’ and find Halo 5: Guardians (You may also find it pinned on your Home Screen)

Step #3
Highlight Halo 5: Guardians and press ‘Menu’ button on your Xbox One controller

Step #4
Select ‘Manage Game’ and then select ‘Internal, Manage All’ located on the left side of your screen

Step #5
Select ‘Uninstall All’ and wait for your game to uninstall completely

Step #6
Once again, go to ‘My Games and Apps’ on your ‘Home Screen’ and select ‘Games’ tab on the right of your screen

Step #7
Find Halo 5: Guardians under ‘Ready to Install’ games and reinstall the game

Once the installation is completed, your beta is likely to run. If there are some other issues you’re experiencing, let us know in the comments below!
