Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Heavensward DLC Gets New Details

By   /   Dec 22, 2014

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has been available for sometime now and Square Enix just recently announced a new DLC for the game, called Heavensward. I’ve always loved Final Fantasy so new content is always welcome!

Some details were already known about the upcoming content but Square Enix has shared new information. New details are regarding a new race, jobs and a raid, which is going to be a part of the game after Heavensward goes live.

First we’ll discuss the new race and by new I mean completely NEW. The race known as Au Ra, has not been a part of any previous installments in the series.

Au Ra hail from the continent of Othard. They have curved horns which can be customized by players along with long tails. They also have scales on their skins. Check them out in the images below.

The very first job to be revealed is Astrologian which is described as a healer class, using stars as the source of magicks and healing.

The second job is Machinist, this a (Ranged) DPS class which uses a large firearm for combat and can deploy turrets as well.

Moreover, we have a raid, which will take players to a mechanical fortress known as Alexander. This raid can be played in both normal or hard mode.

Lastly, it has been revealed that Heavensward will feature a musical theme by the iconic Nobuo Uematsu.

Heavensward goes live sometime in Spring 2015.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is available on PC, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
