Assassin’s Creed Dev Working On a New Third-Person Historical Title
Just last month, Assassin’s Creed creator Patrice Desilets revealed his new studio by the name of Panache Digital Games. We knew nothing about the studio’s current project, but that change recently when Patrice Desilets shared some tidbits about the title.
According to a press release, the team at Panache is currently working on a new AAA title. What’s interesting is that the game is a ‘historical’ title. Sounds familiar?
Similar to Assassin’s Creed, Panache Digital’s first project is going to be a third-person game. Desilets said that it is a bit early to talk about the game but they will share more about it further into development. Hopefully, we’ll see something at E3 next year.
Speaking about indie AAA games, Desilets stated:
“I believe in them,” he says. “I believe wholeheartedly that this medium we call “video games” can be a positive force for change in our society and that AAA quality gaming experiences have unmatched strength to achieve this.”
He said his aim is to ‘move the world of game’ and with this in mind he created Assassin’s Creed:
“I believe that, somehow, I succeeded in my mission. This gives me great motivation, ambition and heart to continue the adventure,”
Patrice Desilets worked for Ubisoft and showed his talent with Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed II and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. He then left the company back in 2010 and went on to work for THQ Montreal but the company soon suffered financially and was purchased by Ubisoft.
Desilets left once again in 2013 and has now created his own studio. We are surely forward to what this new studio has in stored for us in the future.
