Wii U Gets HORI Turbo Battle Pad Pikachu Version in United States

By   /   Dec 18, 2014

Have you bought the officially licensed Mario and Luigi pads that were released by Nintendo alongside the Super Smash Bros for Wii U, or are you more of a Pokemon fan?

Well, if you are the latter – or just an avid collector of everything Nintendo – you will be highly interested in knowing that another officially licensed pad has surfaced online in the United States.

This one is the Pikachu version of the HORI Turbo Battle Pad and it has been listed on the US version website of retailing giant Amazon.

Specific features of the HORI Turbo Battle Pad Pikachu Version were also listed on the Amazon page; you might want to check them out as well:

  • Officially licensed by Nintendo
  • Perfect for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
  • Features short stroke L and R buttons, 3 Turbo settings, and a large D-pad
  • Similar in shape and function as the original Nintendo GameCube controller
  • Compatible with Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro supported titles and most Nintendo Virtual Console titles

That being said, you can check out how the pad looks in the image above and maybe compare it with the Mario or Luigi versions of the HORI Turbo Battle Pads – they are the same except for the character they are based on.

As far as the price is concerned, you are going to be able to get your hands on this for $27.99.

The release date of the Pikachu version pad is Match 2, 2015 although the website is taking preorders from those who can’t wait for that long. Both the Mario and Luigi versions are slated to release on December 22, 2014.
