Rockstar Explains why GTA 5 Heists are Taking So Long
Only yesterday, Rockstar Games had talked about the GTA 5 Heists and revealed that they will finally release the feature in early 2015 – I am guessing that meant not letting the release date slip into the second quarter of 2015.
However, this is still quite late considering that the developers had initially suggested a launch date after the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions were released. That was back on November 18 and even after a whole month of wait we are still to get them.
Rockstar Games held a Q&A session recently; fans asked then question over at Twitter and they responded with answers on the official website of the development studio.
Among these questions they were asked why the GTA 5 Heists had taken so long. Here’s what they said:
Heists were a much bigger challenge to create than we had originally anticipated. Early versions were simply not good enough and had to be scrapped more than once as we honed in on how we thought they should work. We’re happy to say that the pack we are now finalizing is something we are excited by and eager to release as soon as it is ready.
They also added that they were a company that focused on what was being delivered rather than the date on which it was delivered. They didn’t want to frustrate the fans with some “second-rate” content.
Last but not the least, they shared an image for those among you who are dying to paly heists on the game (see it above) as well as revealed that they will be sharing a “small Christmas gift” with the community.
