Bloodborne Chalice Dungeons Screenshots, New Details Shared by Sony
The Bloodborne Chalice Dungeon was originally shown off at Sony’s PlayStation Experience where it was met with enthusiasm and applause. Now, the developers have released some more content for it in the form of screenshots.
Masaaki Yamagiwa, producer at Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Studio took to the official PlayStation US blog with new details regarding the new feature as well as the screenshots.
He explained that the Chalice Dungeon is actually a group of underground ruins beneath Yharnam that is full of enemies, traps and rewards.
By using holy chalices, players can enter these dungeons and explore the vast structures and multiple levels. However, every time a portal is opened up, the structure of the dungeon itself changes. These dungeons are filled with traps, nightmarish creatures, and of course rewards for brave and skilled hunters to claim whether they complete them on their own, or with the help of other hunters online.
In Bloodborne, you can share these dungeons with your friends or find some new ones for yourself online.
The screenshots shared by him include images from swamps, the subterranean atmosphere, huge halls that are very intricately designed to give a grand gothic look and so on.
Enemies include protectors that are supposed to keep intruders like you at bay. Then there are the protector ritual masters who can even case some “dark and ancient ceremony” that can turn hunters to dust.
You also get a look at the ancient guard dog that was originally shown in the trailer at the PlayStation Experience.
Bloodborne is being developed as a PlayStation 4 exclusive and is slated for release in North America, European Union, Japan and United Kingdom on March 24, 25, 26 and 27 respectively.
