PS3 Exclusive The Awakened Fate Ultimatum Out In 2015
Publisher NIS America announced that it will bring The Awakened Fate Ultimatum to North America on March 17, 2015 and a few days later in Europe on March 20. It will be available both as a physical release and digitally as a Playstation 3 exclusive.
Some may see a resemblance to a previous title from NIS America, The Guided Fate Paradox, which released in late 2013 on PS3. It features a struggle between angels and devils, with a human protagonist.
In The Awakened Fate Ultimatum, a boy is resurrected as a deity with the help of the Fate Awakening Crystal. The player will need to choose sides between the two struggling parties.
Much like its predecessor, the sequel is a roleplaying game (RPG) that introduces a few roguelike elements, such as its top-down view and turn-based movement and combat design. Locations in The Awakened Fate Ultimatum will be randomly generated as well.
Upgrading your character follows the game’s dichotomy between angelic and demonic powers.
Japanese RPGs really are a treat for older consoles. Who would’ve expected a PS3 exclusive in 2015, quite a bit after the Playstation 4 launched?
Previous generations also received some great titles past their prime. Most notably, Persona 4 launched on Playstation 2 more than a year after PS3 was out.
The Awakened Fate Ultimatum currently has three preorders up. Two of them continue the split theme as either an Angelic or Devilish Limited Edition, which cost $54.99 each.
It’s also possible to grab the Ultimate Fate Edition, which comes with all the materials of the split versions, but with an exclusive coin as well, for $59.99.
