SimCity BuildIt is now available worldwide on iOS and Android devices, EA has announced.

The mobile version of the popular PC franchise is free to download and features in-game purchases. According to EA, players can play the game for free if they want. However, access to certain features and items is behind a pay-wall. Players will have to shill out real money if they are interested in getting access to these features.

Welcome, Mayor! SimCity BuildIt is now available worldwide on iOS and Android devices, bringing strategy, creativity, and the magic of SimCity to the palm of your hand. Designed for a whole new generation of mobile gamers, SimCity BuildIt lets you build and manage your own thriving metropolis in stunning 3D, anytime, anywhere.

In terms of gameplay, SimCity BuildIt offers more or less the same experience that the PC version offers. Players will build, manage and grow their own city. Create roads for access and services for residential areas. Establish trading routes for resources and while you’re at it, unlock exclusive buildings to build like Big Ben and The Arc de Triomphe.

Natural disasters are a threat and players can later prepare to protect themselves from nature’s wrath.

Additionally, the game challenges you to sort out traffic and pollution issues, balance out power shortages, water requirements, health care and entertainment to keep your citizens happy.

You can download the game now on iOS and Android.
