New Splatoon Details Revealed Over Twitter By Nintendo

The most anticipated Wii U game for me is certainly Splatoon. The game has impressed a lot of fans, including me, since it was first revealed. Fans who are itching to know more about the game won’t have to wait any longer.

The official twitter account for Splatoon has revealed new information about the title. Details were translated over at NeoGaf:

Report from the Squid Research Laboratory. In Turf Battles, the amount of area covered by ink becomes your points. The number of times you knocked out enemies and the number of times you were knocked out is counted to, but these don’t contribute to your score. This means that the ones who spread the most ink are the best.

There also was something about the meat around a squid’s beak being “crunchy and tasty.” I have no idea what that means except that it is related to the game. You might also want to read the whole post at NeoGAF.

So far Splatoon has been announced only for Wii U but I would love to see a 3DS version of the game as well. Hopefully, Nintendo will announce something soon.

Splatoon is basically a third-person team based shooter, in which players take the role of a squid like character. This character can also take the form of a human kid.

The game will feature an online multiplayer as well as local co-op; and will be released in 2015.

Nintendo has there own distinct identity in the gaming world and this game certainly highlights that. I can’t wait to get my hands on this title, what about you?
