Uploading Chris Benoit in WWE 2K15 Will Get You Banned

By   /   Dec 13, 2014

2K Sports is allegedly banning players for crafting Chris Benoit as a wrestler in WWE 2k15.

According to an article from Kotaku, simply uploading a digital version of the famed superstar will result in a temporary ban of around two weeks. Strangely though, there has been no official word from the publisher regarding the matter and exactly why they are banning for Chris Benoit alone.

“I only delete profane, nudity, and inappropriate creations,” said 2K’s Marcus Stephenson on Twitter.

The term to note here could be ‘inappropriate’. Benoit was a superstar in the ring and still lives on in wrestling fans’ hearts. His end however, was pretty horrible, where in depression he murdered his wife and son before killing himself. That could be why WWE does not want anything related to Benoit in the game. It’s the same like players crafting Adolf Hitler-themed objects and getting stern warnings from mods.

WWE 2K15 is available on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
