Xbox One Was the “Best Selling Console” In November, Microsoft Announces

Since last year, Microsoft has come a long way to catch up to PS4 and finally, it did. Not in terms of accumulated sales I believe but Microsoft has announced that the Xbox One is the top selling console in the US and UK for the month of November.

If I am not wrong, this is the first time Xbox One has outsold PS4 in the US.

In Microsoft’s own words: “November set a new record for sales of Xbox One, and Xbox One was the best-selling console in the U.S. and U.K.”

Not only the hardware sales, but according to the company, Xbox One’s performance was impressive in software sales as well:

“Response to the holiday lineup of games on Xbox One was incredible, with Xbox One fans buying more games in November in the U.S. than any other gen eight platform and enjoying over 357 million hours of gameplay globally.”

Moreover, Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg took to twitter and claimed that the Xbox One is #1 is many markets globally. We don’t know if that’s true as global sales are not available right now but an intriguing claim indeed.

Greenberg also revealed that they are “making plans for another record year in 2015!” What these plans are, we don’t know yet. However, as soon as something is revealed, we’ll let you know.

Seems like things are going Microsoft’s way and with some massive Xbox One titles to come in 2015, next year has some exciting times in stored for us all, don’t you think?
