Bitcoins Can Now be Used to Add Money to Microsoft Account in US

By   /   Dec 11, 2014

Bitcoins came into being back in 2009 and due to its large usage, Microsoft is allowing its users to add money to their Microsoft accounts using bitcoins.

To make the process understandable, Microsoft has provided multiple steps that will help you get started with the bitcoins.

  1. Sign in to Microsoft account – Billing with your Microsoft account
  2. Select Payment options> Microsoft account > redeem bitcoin
  3. Select the amount you want to add, then click Next
  4. Review the amount of Bitcoin needed and use your digital wallet to complete the transaction within 15 minutes (on your computer, on your mobile or any other device).

Microsoft assures that these transactions will get processed immediately, but if they don’t then wait for a couple of hours before contacting MS support.

Take note that whatever money you transfer into your Microsoft account using bitcoins is non-refundable, so review the transaction before going through with it.

Support for bitcoins will surely come in handy as they remove the middle-man altogether helping consumers to deal with the third party themselves.

Currently, this service is only available for US users but hopefully, it will make its way out of the country in the near future.

If you need any more details regarding the use of bitcoins with Microsoft account, this is the place you need to visit.
