New Crucible Inferno Mode Discovered for Destiny – No Abilities, Weapon Bonuses and Radar

By   /   Dec 10, 2014

A new Grimoire card suggests that Destiny could be getting a new Crucible mode that removes all super abilities, weapon bonuses and the radar.

The discovery came through Reddit user KingOfCarrotFlowers who found a new card that hints about a possible Crucible mode called Inferno. As mentioned above, players will only be allowed to pack weapons that are without any super abilities or bonuses and will be playing without radar.

Here’s what the card states:

“A modified variant of multiple Crucible match types, Inferno tests your Light against the darkest of conditions.

“Darkness prevails, leaving Guardians to rely on their weaponry and combat skills alone. The enemy can only be found by sight and sound alone. Rely on your teammates and keen tracking to stalk your enemies and shut them down without the trust in your most powerful abilities. True skill put to the ultimate test. No trackers. No Supers. No bonuses. Only kills earn points.”

Bungie has so far not commented on the discovery. The discovery of the Inferno mode does look pretty authentic and with the ‘card’ out of the bag, we could be seeing an announcement soon.
