Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris Errors, Black Screen, Crashes, Bugs and Fixes

By   /   Dec 10, 2014

The classic Lara is back and this time around, she is exploring the mythical Temple of Osiris. Although not a AAA title, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris sure is a fun adventure especially when you are playing it with your friends.

With its release today on PS4, Xbox One and PC, I am sure that many of you would want to play it as soon as possible. But if you are a PC user, there could be some issues (errors, bugs, crashes) that can spoil the fun for you. So like always, we have shortlisted the common issues being faced by the users and their possible fixes so that you can get into the game as soon as possible.

Feel free to browse through the following listing to find the a possible fix for the concerned problem.

#1 Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris – Black Screen Fix
Some users have reported that they are experiencing black screen after launching the game. If you too are experiencing the issue, try running the game in the windowed mode (Alt+Enter).

Could be a driver issue so updating the drivers or rolling back to a previous stable version could also fix the issue.

#2 Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris – Failed to Start Game (Missing Executable)
If you are receiving this error, try verifying the game cache. Restart Steam, and the game should work now.

#3 Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris – Directx Error
If you are not using a directx 11 card then you don’t meet the system requirements to run the game and you will receive a directx related error.

If your card is supported by dx 11 and you still are receiving the error, then you should re-install it from here.

#4 Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris – Achievements Bug
There has been some reports that achievements aren’t working properly for some users. Restarting the game has fixed the problem for some but if your problem doesn’t get fixed by any means, you should contact support here so that they can patch it out.

#5 Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris – Keyboard and Gamepad Support
By default, the game supports only one player for keyboard and if you want to play the local coop, you are going to need a gamepad for that. So it’s not a bug but a feature.

#6 Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris – Online Lag/Connectivity Issues
If you are experiencing problems like lag or connectivity issues online, make sure that your firewall or any other security tool is not blocking the connection. There have also been multiple reports about lag on different forums so I guess there will be a patch to address the issue.

If you are facing any other issues, let us know in the comments below and we will try to help you out. Also, if you have any fix of your own, don’t hesitate to share with us.
