The Game Awards 2014: EA has a Special Announcement for Us

By   /   Dec 4, 2014

Be ready folks, EA is going to announce something special on Friday at The Game Awards 2014. The news came from EA’s own Peter Moore who posted the reveal on his twitter account.

According to the tweet:

“I’m looking forward to joining @geoffkeighley on stage Friday night in Las Vegas @thegameawards to make a special announcement from @EA”

On behalf of EA, Peter Moore will be joining Geoff Keighley at The Game Awards 2014. To know what that announcement is, we will have to wait till the show begins, because other than the tweet we have no information, not even a hint to speculate on right now.

For the first time in over a decade, VGA’s won’t be supported by Spike TV, who dropped their support of the show last year. However, Geoff Keighley kept the show alive and went on to produce his own show without Spike, which is now known as The Game Awards.

The show will be held on Friday December 5th in Las Vegas. That is just hours before Sony’s PlayStation Experience Event. So, you can expect this weekend to be packed with gaming news.

According to the producer, over a dozen world premiers will be a part of the show including the highly anticipated reveal, of Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Online.

In case you didn’t know, Metal Gear Online is the multiplayer section of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Lastly, The Game Awards 2014 will be streamed live on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Twitch. We will be covering the news coming out of the event, so if you miss-out on any information, be sure to check back at SegmentNext.
