The Last of Us was a masterpiece, released last year on PS3 and then remastered for PS4. The game was highly popular among fans and critics and surely, it deserved all the attention it got.

If you have been keeping up with the news related to this game, you’ll know that Sony is planning to immortalize The Last of Us on the silver screen.

While we don’t know who will be playing the role of Ellie or Joel in the movie adaption but it seems like Maisie Williams is pretty interested to be in the shoes of Ellie.

Moreover, she has met with producer Sam Raimi and game director Neil Druckmann. During her meeting she was asked to moderate a panel at Comic-Con, which she refused due to her commitments with Game of Thrones.

She explained:

“I was doing so much work for Thrones that I didn’t want to half-arse do it, so I said I’m not going to [moderate]. They said fine, but they’re gonna announce they had talks. So the way it was left is they want me to do it, and I want to do it. But there’s no script, no director, and no anything else. So at this moment, it’s looking like, ‘Yes,’ but it’s still such early days.”

The Last of Us movie is certainly in an early stage and nothing is confirmed the time being. However, Maisie seems like a great choice to play the role of Ellie.
