Dying Light System Requirements are Very Demanding

By   /   Dec 4, 2014

Developer Techland has posted the official system requirements for its upcoming action-adventure survival horror game, Dying Light, and they are pretty demanding.

Demanding would perhaps be putting it lightly. The minimum requirement asks you to at least own an i5 processor with at least 8 GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 670 or AMD HD 7870 equivalent to be able to run the game.

Recommended specifications go beyond that and demand you own at least 16 GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 670 or AMD R9 290.

Minimum Specifications

  • OS: Windows® 7 64-bit / Windows® 8 64-bit / Windows® 8.1 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-2500 @3.3 GHz / AMD FX-8320 @3.5 GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM DDR3
  • Hard Drive: 40 GB free space
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 670 / AMD Radeon™ HD 7870
  • Sound: DirectX® 10

Recommended Specifications

  • OS: Windows® 7 64-bit / Windows® 8 64-bit / Windows® 8.1 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4670K @3.4 GHz / AMD FX-8350 @4.0 GHz
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM DDR3
  • Hard Drive: 40 GB free space
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 780 / AMD Radeon™ R9 290
  • Sound: DirectX® 10

It’s surprising to see this requirements, since the game’s graphical output doesn’t seem like it would require such horsepower. That also puts the question mark on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.

Dying Light is scheduled for release on January 27 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
