2K Games has announced a second DLC for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel which is scheduled to roll out later this month and is dubbed as the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught.

Prior to the DLC’s launch, a free update will be rolled out across all platforms and will add a third play mode, Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode in order to prepare the game for the DLC’s launch.

As for the DLC itself, it will introduce veteran Vault Hunters like Axton and Gaige. It increases the level cap to Level-60 which will allow players to gain 10 additional levels. Additionally, it will bring forth a new challenge arena and the chance to gain 10 additional skill points.

The Holodome Onslaught is scheduled to release across all platforms i.e. PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3 on Dec. 16, 2014. It is a part of the game’s Season Pass which costs $29.99 while a standalone version will set players back $9.99.

In related Borderlands news, Telltale Games’ first episode of Tales from the Borderlands is now available across PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PS3.

It is a joint effort by Gearbox Studios and Telltale Games and introduces players to two new characters in Pandora.
