Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- Limited Edition Delayed Due To Port Strike

By   /   Dec 3, 2014

Publisher Aksys Games sees itself forced to delay their Limited Edition of the poorly titled Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. This circumstance is due to a recent strike held at the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach, which contained materials needed for the special version of the game.

Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- is the company’s “most complex” Limited Edition to date, involving a character book, a keychain and a soundtrack. That might not sound like much, but the game’s box is also crafted to resemble The Backyard tome, which makes it a bit more presentable.

In regards to the sudden delays, Russell Iriye of Aksys Games mentioned the following:

Due to the unpredictable nature of the delay, there may be a one to two week postponement of the release of the Limited Edition. Aksys Games takes this matter seriously and will continue to update everyone as soon as we can. We would like to apologize for the delay and inconvenience that this has caused.

Guilty Gear is a long-running fighting game franchise from Arc System Works. It will launch on Playstation 3 and Playstation 4.

The traditional side-scrolling 2D visuals are getting a cel-shaded enhancement in Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. There are also camera angle changes that switch the view for emphasis.

This iteration is looking quite stunning. In particular, if you’re a fan of anime styles, you might get a kick out of this one.

There will be no changes to the normal release of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. That one is still ready to go on December 16, 2014.
