For the time being, we don’t know when Black Desert will be making its way to the United States or EU, but that won’t happen before the game is released in Korea. Developers do have plans to release the game in the west but no release window is revealed yet.

As for players in Korea, Pearl Abyss, the Korean developer behind the game, has announced that Black Desert will go into open beta in the region starting December 17.

The visually impressive MMORPG will be a free-to-play title and is going to be supported by a cash system. Players can pre-load the game starting December 10th, while an early tool for character creation will be available on December 12.

Speaking of characters, in the open beta, players can choose between four playable characters but hopefully, more will be available upon full release.

Black Desert is currently only confirmed for PC. However, the developers have shown interest to bring the title to PS4 as well. So far, they haven’t given any solid information regarding a PS4 release.

Black Desert will take us all to a fantasy world, where we will witness the conflict between two nations. The game features a parkour system, similar to what we have seen in games like Assassin’s Creed and Prince of Persia.

A dynamic weather system will also be a part of the game, and we will see different events such typhoons influencing gameplay.

So what do you think of Black Desert? Want to see the game released in the west? Let us know of your opinions in the comments below.
