DayZ Standalone to Release in “First Half of 2016”

By   /   Nov 26, 2014

The standalone version of DayZ will remain in Steam Early Access until the first half of 2016, Bohemia Interactive has announced.

Currently DayZ’s Early Access build is priced at $29.99 but this will increase to $34.99 once the Steam Winter Sale has ended on December 2. This price will increase to $49.99 upon the game’s launch in “the first half of 2016.”

Hence, it’s better to secure a copy right now during Steam’s ongoing sale.

Posting a complete development roadmap for 2015, the developer said that it will continue to improve the game with more content, adding “new weapons, objects, craft able items, vehicles, additional features and optimisations” every month.

  • Basic vehicles
  • Advanced loot distribution
  • New renderer
  • New Zombie AI
  • Basic stealth system (zombies and animals)

Q2 2015

“2014 has been an immensely successful year for DayZ,” said producer Brian Hicks. “We could have never hoped for so many people to join us for the adventure of Early Access development.

As the team looks forward to our goals and features set for 2015, the vision of an open world sandbox where the player creates their own story and experiences comes closer to completion.”
