New Resident Evil HD Remake Screens Show Amazing Lighting and Textures

Released back in 1996, Resident Evil became one of the most loved games in the survival horror genre. Once hailed as a pioneer in the survival horror genre, the series has lost the essence of survival horror since Resident Evil 4.

The classic title was remade on Gamecube back in 2002 and is now getting an HD remake on a number of different platforms. Capcom has released new screenshots of the upcoming HD remake which shows its new look.

The most prominent change is the lighting, which makes the environment even more spooky. While most of the HD remakes are just HD ports, Capcom is actually creating new in-game assets for this.

Apart from the lighting, HD textures have helped bring this title to the modern-era of gaming. And did I mention, the zombies look far more uglier in HD.

The graphics are surely impressive compared to what they were back then, but some changes have also been made to the control scheme. The developers have added a non-tank like control scheme, which will apparently make the controls easier, while not affecting the game’s signature tension.

All in all, this one is a must-have for all Resident Evil fans like me. Resident Evil HD remake is being released on PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC in 2015.
