The Game Awards 2014 Nominees Have Been Unveiled

The nominees for The Game Awards 2014 have been revealed along with the jury that has contributed in finding the best games in the industry.

The biggest category of Game of the year includes:

  • Bayonetta 2
  • Dark Souls II
  • Dragon Age: Inquisition
  • Hearthstone
  • Shadow of Mordor

Shadow of Mordor was the dark horse of 2014, few people were expecting much from the game, but it turned out to be fantastic. Other titles included in the list have also made quite a name for themselves, so this is going to be a tight one.

2014 witnessed the launch of some games that were completely different than any other titles out there. Due to this reason, a special category has been added, “Games for Change,” and the nominees are:

  • Never Alone
  • This War of Mine
  • Mountain
  • Valiant Hearts
  • The Last of Us: Left Behind

Indies have also flourished this year and here the nominees for the best games in the category.

  • Monument Valley
  • Shovel Knight
  • Transistor
  • The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
  • Broken Age: Act 1

All the platforms have been well represented this year, and there are some great titles to choose from.

However, users are only allowed to vote for five categories – Highly Anticipated Title, eSports Player of the Year, eSports Team of the Year, Trending Gamer and Best Fan Creation.

The Game Awards 2014 are scheduled to take place on December 5 at “The Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, NV.”
