Splatoon Single Player Trailer Shows The Octopus Army
Releasing in 2015 for the Wii U, Splatoon is a title Nintendo fans will highly enjoy. Primarily a squad-based third-person shooter, the game can be played by up to eight players in 4 vs 4 battles.
However, Splatoon also features a crazy single-player mode. The trailer above will let you know what I am talking about.
Players will take control of a weird little creature, who is a combination of human and squid. At will, players can transform into either one during gameplay.
The single-player mode will put players up against a huge army of octopus. According to Satoru Iwata:
Squid versus Octopus. Nature’s epic battle of supremacy, turf, and the survival of each species begins.
Splatoon also features local multiplayer in the form of “one-on-one.” In this mode one player will use the Wii U GamePad, while the other uses the Pro Controller. Nintendo is aiming to make this mode completely different from the 4vs4 multiplayer.
One-on-one can be played without connecting to the Internet, but I feel it will be awesome if we can take our gaming buddies with us online, using the same console.
What do you think?
